Why wait for your luck to happen if you can crochet yourself a lucky 4-leaf clover.
And because it is so quick to make, share the luck around and make someone you care about their own lucky charm too!
This pattern uses DK yarn and 3mm crochet hook and you can hide a coin (up to 20mm in diameter) inside your clover. Attach a keyring and carry it with you wherever you go!

Lucky clover:
Start by creating a magic circle.
Working into the mc you just created, *ch 4, sc* 4 times, ch 7, close the circle.
Starting from the second chain from your hook, slst 6 times back towards the mc.
Now work straight into the ch-4 loops, make the following stitches into each loop:
(sc, hdc, dc 2, ch 1, sc, ch 1, dc 2, hdc, sc) 4 times, slst to the base of the stem to finish.
Fasten off, cut yarn but leave a long tail for sewing. Using your yarn needle, feed the yarn tail through the stem of the clover and attach keyring (if using), weave in the end.
Reverse side:
Start by creating a magic circle.
You will be working in a continuous circle.
R 1: sc 8 into mc (8 sts).
R 2: inc x 8 (16 sts).
R 3: sc around (16 sts). Check that your coin fits, if not choose a smaller coin. Fasten off, cut yarn and leave a long tail for assembly.
Assembly:
Put the two sides together, right sides facing out, wrong sides in, make sure you include the coin. Using the end tail from making the reverse circle, sew two sides together securely. Weave in the end and you are done!
