You will need:

● 4 mm crochet hook

● Yarn needle, scissors

● DK (size 3) green yarn,

approximately: 5 m per leaf

Abbreviations:

FO: Fasten off

slst: slip stitch

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

dc: double crochet

tr: treble crochet

picot: chain 3, slst into first chain

Start by creating a slip knot and chain 4.

STEP 1: slst into the first chain to form a circle.

STEP 2: sc 8 into the circle (8 sts).

STEP 3: Make the following set of stitches per sc from step 2.

Into 1st st: sc, dc, picot, dc

Into 2nd st: tr, picot, tr, dc

Into 3rd st: sc, hdc x 2

Into 4th st: dc x 2, tr, picot, tr, dc x 2

Into 5th st: hdc x 2, sc

Into 6th st: dc, tr, picot, tr

Into 7th st: dc, picot, dc, sc

Into 8th st: slst

STEP 4: chain 18

STEP 5: slst into the 4th chain from the hook to form a circle.

STEP 6: repeat steps 2 and 3.

STEP 7: slst 6 into the chain you created earlier to form a stem.

Continue repeating steps 4 to 7 until you reach desired length for your ivy trail. From the last leaf, slst back into the chains which do not have slst yet, all the way to the first leaf. Do

not worry about twisting your chain, it adds natural character to your trail of ivy. I turned

my chain on purpose, to make some leaves fall to the right and some to the left.

Weave in ends.

Optional: Spray the leaves with starch spray so that they keep their shape.
